The Department of Agriculture has awarded Cotabato City with the Gawad Parangal at Pagkilala in recognition of the successful efforts of the local government in registering all the fisher folk in the city to the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Out of all the 1,600 cities and municipalities in the country and 1.4 million fisher folk, Cotabato City was among the Top 100 highest number of registrants.
These investments are classified into three fields, specifically: food production; food processing; and energy development.
With the theme: Nakangiti ang Kinabukasan, Kapag Ngipin ay Pinanganaglagaan, several activities with connection to dental health have been line up for the whole month.
The City Government of Cotabato headed by the HON. CITY MAYOR JAPAL J. GUIANI, JR. in his thrust to provide educational opportunities to individuals aspiring for higher education and improved qualifications, personal enrichment, career development and advancement has been very supportive of the Access to Quality Education Through E-Learning Scholarship/Study Grant Program through CHED in coordination with the UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES OPEN UNIVERSITY (UPOU), Los Baños , Laguna through the On line Distance Learning Education designed to suite various educational needs and purpose.
A total of 60 sacks of corn seeds were distributed to the agricultural Barangays of the city. Kalanganan Mother, Kalanganan I and Kalanganan 2 received 35 sacks of corn seeds; Tamontaka Mother and Tamontaka 5 were given 11 sacks, and Rosary Heights 5 received 5 sacks.
The building structure is already completed and the facility already has its needed equipment and other fixtures set up.
