IMG_2712June 18, 2012--It was indeed a beautiful and colorful night for all the Cotabateños who watched and witnessed the coronation of the Mutya ng Kutabato 2012.

The seven chosen candidates looked very gorgeous and stunning while gracefully overwhelming the crowd with their beauty and brains. But just like any other competition, only one stood out of the rest.

Eighteen year old Mary Jean A. Brillantes won the title for the Mutya ng Kutabato 2012 and will be the official representative of Cotabato City for national beauty pageants for this year.

Mary Jean is a resident of Mother Barangay Tamontaka and is a sophomore at the Notre Dame University taking up Bachelor of Science in Education. Aside from being the 2012 Mutya ng Kutabato, she also bagged several awards like the Best in Gown award, Miss Eastwest Bank, and Miss Photogenic.

First runner up is 18-year old Vher M. Macalino who also received the Model Candidate Award by religiously attending their practices and having a very good relationship with all the other contenders. She also won the hearts of the Cotabateños being the Sun Cellular Texters Choice. She is the pride of Barangay Rosary Heights 9 and a 4th year BSBA student at the Notre Dame RVM College of Cotabato.

Anjalette Faith I. Tan came in second runner up and also bagged the Best in Production Number award. Anjalette is a resident of Barangay Poblacion 5 and a 2nd year HRM student of STI College of Cotabato.

The Board of Judges for the pageant includes Bai Annisa Alonto-Biruar, Ms. Victoria R. Franco, Mr. Angelo Parami, Ms. Aihua Co, Col. Alexander F. Bulatan (M) (GSC), Mr. Wilfredo Austria, and Mr. Angelo Parami.
